Fantasy Goddess of Arctic Barbie by Bob Mackie is the fourth in The Intnational Beauty Collection all designed by Bob Mackie. The entire series was developed to celebrate the beauty of women from all around the world. Mackie is famous for his luxurious and extravagant style of fashion design. Here, barbie wears a floor-length and very dramatic dark blue coat, edges with faux fur and lined in a brilliant fuschia colored satiny finish. Obviously, the coat is elaborately embroidered wioth starbnds oif silvery beads - much like snow flakes - cascading from the hood. Barbie;s Platinum Blind hair is pulled up in a most intricate hair style and decorated with a very beautifully beaded headband. Her silvery ear rings add the final exquisitely extravagant touch.

This is a rare and dramatic bit of Barbie's lore and collectible fantasy. It would be hard to imagine a complete Barbie set without this incredibly fashionable and ornate piece.
